You Can Help Kids Watch Theater for Free
Repertory Philippines stages a benefit show on August 19.
(SPOT.ph) To celebrate its 50th anniversary in the theater industry, Repertory Philippines will stage a special rerun of The Glitter Trap for the kids and families of selected barangays in Makati. The show, to be held on August 19, 3 p.m. at Power Mac Center Spotlight, is free of charge.
“REP continues its efforts of making an impact in the lives of different people with the shows that we produce,” says Repertory Philippines (REP) President and CEO Mindy Perez-Rubio.
The Glitter Trap, by Joel Trinidad and Jon Meer Vera Perez, is a musical based on the young adult Disney novel of the same title by Barbara Brauner and James Iver Mattson. It follows the story of Lacey, a young girl who accidentally injures a Fairy Godmother and eventually takes on the job herself. Nothing can be more apt than a story of goodness and hope to inspire the youth.
You can join REP in this endeavor of bringing arts closer to the youth by getting an early ticket for the regular rerun of The Glitter Trap on August 20 at Power Mac Center Spotlight.
The Glitter Trap is on August 20, 3 p.m. at Power Mac Center Spotlight, 2/F Circuit Lane, Circuit Makati. Tickets, priced at P500, are available through Ticketworld.
