(SPOT.ph) Watching theatrical shows and catching arts and music festivals can be hard on the pocket, especially if you're in Metro Manila. You not only have to pay for tickets that can be expensive, but also spend some money on Grab and snacks in between art events. But that's the price to pay if you love to immerse in some arts and culture whenever you can. BGC Arts Center, a playground for Filipino artists and lovers of the arts that opened in 2016, hopes to solve this dilemma by offering season passes valid from August to October. One pass, which is priced at P5,700, is valid for three events or eight days of entertainment.
The BGC Arts Center Season Pass gives cardholders access to three shows within the cultural complex: Madagascar: A Musical Adventure, which runs from August 2 to 18; Tony Award-winning musical Company, which runs from September 13 to 22; and the six-day Pinoy Playlist Music Festival, which is from October 11 to 13 and from October 18 to 20. Prices for the shows range from P1,500 to P2,500 for Madagascar; from P1,500 to P3,500 for Company; and P2,250 for the Pinoy Playlist Music Festival. We did the computation for you: The best seat would amount to P8,250—that's P2,550 more expensive than a full-access BGC Arts Center Season Pass. It’s even better if you have a plus one, as passes for two are only at P10,000. That’s P5,000 per head, which means you can save up to P3,250.
