(SPOT.ph) Who says art and saving the world are mutually exclusive? One museum in Quezon City is trying to push people to take tiny steps towards a more concious way of life. Art In Island has been spreading the word on their theme #ECOChallenge, where they hold contests, promos, and events that promote putting the Earth first. Now, they're inviting everybody to come and make a rather literal splash at their Mural Fest, happening from September 3 to 8 at Art in Island in Quezon City. Everyone is welcome to come and help paint the Philippines' first-ever mural village—and hopefully help spread eco-consciousness, too.Â

While everyone is invited, don't forget to register through Art In Island's Facebook page. This will help the museum, and the artists involved, make sure the mural achieves its main goal as part of the #ECOChallenge: to use art to raise awareness on the Earth's needs.

Aside from some serious fun with the Mural Fest, Art In Island is also calling on artists for an annual contest. The Mural Competition opened for submissions on July 23 for artists 18 years old and above, and entries must show the contestant's answer to environmental issues. The actual contest will be held on September 3 to 8 as well, but deadline for entries is on August 16, so pre-register soon if you think you've got a solution!
Mural Fest is from September 3 to 8 at Art in Island, 15th Avenue, Quezon City. For more information, visit the Art In Island Facebook page.Â
