Art for a Cause: Cool Photo Prints to Raise Funds for Filipino Photographers
It includes works by Shaira Luna, Wawi Navarroza, and more.
(SPOT.ph) We all know the significance of documenting key moments in our history. With the COVID-19 pandemic effectively changing everything around us, photographers who are out and about are also taking on the challenge to record everything they can in this unprecedented situation. But most of them are cooped up in their homes with no big concerts, travel junkets, or fashion shoots to cover amid the quarantine—and therefore, hampering their source of income. To aid these affected visual artists, Shelter Fund is selling beautiful photo prints starting on May 1.
Shelter Fund, an initiative by photographers for the benefit of photographers, is organized by Silver—the digital printing arm of Katipunan-based Shutterspace Studios. "Through your purchases of our prints, you help keep us safe in our homes, able to continue and contribute, and more importantly, all of us have commited to contributing part of our individual sales to a communal fund, making sure everyone is benefitted by your purchase," the group said in a statement.
Up for selling are photographs by Paco Guerrero, Jake Verzosa, Shaira Luna, Raymund Isaac, BJ Pascual, Neal Oshima, Wawi Navarroza, Albert Labrador, Toto Labrador, Jilson Tiu, MM Yu, Kira Dalena, Neil Daza, and many more.
