PSA: Visit the Ayala Museum for as Low as P120 Starting This Month

(SPOT.ph) Museum-goers, this one's for you! Starting this October, entrance to the Ayala Museum just got a lot "friendlier" on the wallet. Gone are the days when a quick visit would immediately set you back P650. In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month, the museum is introducing a new visitor scheme that offers ticket prices as low as P120. Here’s everything you need to know about Ayala Museum’s new entrance fees.

As a privately owned center, the Ayala Museum has always charged fees for visiting its premises. Initially set at P650, this entrance payment allows guests to access all the museum's galleries, such as the Gold of Ancestors: Pre-colonial Treasures of the Philippines, the Diorama Experience of Philippine History, and even the limited-time-only exhibits like this month's last look at Juan Luna's once-lost painting, Hymen, Oh Hyménée!. But this October, the museum is starting a new floor-by-floor access system that significantly reduces the entrance fees.

Under the new scheme, guests can pick and choose which floors to explore. Meaning, if you're only interested in viewing specific portions of the museum or seeing limited-time-only exhibitions, such as the ongoing display Mezcla: Interwoven Cultures and the Mantón de Manila at the museum's third floor main gallery, you'll only need to pay for third floor access which starts at P250 for children under 12, senior citizens, PWDs, and students, and P350 for regular paying adults.

Note that each floor has a different rate, so best to check which floor the exhibit you want to view is located on so you can plan your trip (and budgets) accordingly.

But for those who still want to have the full Ayala Museum experience and walk through the entire collection—both permanent and temporary exhibits—they reduced the rates for that too. Starting this October, all access entry to the Ayala Museum now starts at P350 for those with discounts such as students, PWDs, and senior citizens, and P500 for regular paying adults.
