Pazzo Rollio opens its first outlet in Robinsons Magnolia

 

(SPOT.ph) Rolled pizza is an emerging food trend, from Yellow Cab Pizza's Dear Darla to the Panizza at Torch Restaurant, C' Italian Dining, and Uncle Cheffy's Brick-oven BBQ, to the Pazzo Rollio at Focaccia. Chef Ivan Tajonera of Focaccia recently opened a casual dining restaurant at Robinsons Magnolia that's fittingly called Pazzo Rollio, after the house specialty.

 

Big Bang Supreme

 

So what is Pazzo Rollio? It's paper-thin pizza dough made from organic flour, topped with fresh ingredients, baked then served with arugula and alfalfa sprouts. It is sliced diagonally into 8 to 12 strips. Before eating, just put arugula and alfalfa sprouts on top of a strip and roll it. The pizza has just the right consistency-not too hard, soft or heavy-and it's crisp on the edges. The light smattering of toppings builds up when you roll the pizza, resulting in the perfect bite, while veggies add freshness and crunch.

Their Pazzo Rollio Specials (P200 for solo, P380 for sharing) include the Big Bang Supreme, which is topped with bacon, pepperoni, ham, mushroom, cheese sauce, and onion. For something more unusual, go for the Yahoo Surprise (Pancetta and figs), Speedy Gonzalez (chicken, jalapeño, roasted bell pepper), and Perfect Combination (pear and Gorgonzola).

The pizza place also has pasta selections. Beef and Spinach Cannelloni (P165) is filled with ground beef, spinach, cheese and tomato sauce. Fellini's Capellini (P185) is angel hair pasta with pesto shrimp sauce. The fresh pesto is intense so mix it well with the pasta. Whether as a starter or a snack, don't miss Popeye's Spinach and Artichoke Dip (P145), a chunky and cheesy dip that goes well with crisp focaccia.
