What to Expect from Bistro Du Vin at Rockwell Edades, Makati

Les Amis and The Moment Group have teamed up to bring this casual French bistro to Manila

(SPOT.ph) The Moment Group, the prolific team that, in the past two years introduced Burger Bar, 8 Cuts, ’Cue Modern BarbecuePHAT Pho, Mecha Uma, and Manam (formerly Namnam), has partnered with Singapore's equally inexhaustible Les Amis to bring over yet another restaurant to add to their roster: Bistro Du Vin.

 

The bistro, which first opened its flagship in 2009 at the Shaw Center in Singapore, serves regional dishes across France in an authentic yet casual manner. Currently, it has another on Zion Road and another in Hong Kong. In Manila, it's set up in the new Rockwell Edades across Power Plant Mall (in front of Mango).

 

We're showing you what to look forward to when Bistro Du Vin officially opens its doors on November 26, Wednesday.

 

 

The snazzy red interiors decked in paintings: it's private enough for lunch meetings, intimate enough for cozy dinners, and peaceful enough for nightcaps. It's styled like a loft with more seating on the second floor.

 

 

Authentic recipes that don't scrimp on either portion or flavor: the menu is in French with helpful English explanations. Expect items like Coq au Vin (chicken braised in red wine, carrots, mushrooms, pearl onions, bacon, and mashed potato), Le Steak Frite (good old steak from Australian grain-fed Angus rib-eye, French fries, and Bearnaise sauce), Foie Gras Poele (pan-seared liver with onion marmalade), and more.

 

 

And then this dish. (That, by the way, is a Grand Marnier Souffle.)

A more casual approach to French cuisine: the Manila branch is slightly more relaxed than the ones in Singapore. The aim is to be a place for friends, and no doubt that's what it'll become.
