Plus, how much it costs to eat a meal by a world-renowned chef.
(SPOT.ph) Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the culinary icon and namesake of the "world’s most recognized Japanese restaurant," is coming to the Philippines to helm a special dinner on March 18, Wednesday, at, where else, City of Dreams Manila’s Nobu Hotel.
The sushi-trained chef from Saitama, Japan, will showcase his signature fusion in a multi-course menu that includes the following:
Mixed Sashimi Salad with Red and Green Jalapeño Dressing
A Four-Way Tasting with Grouper New Style
Chu Toro Wasabi Salsa, Mamakari Namban-zuke, and Lobster Quinoa Ceviche
Nobu's acclaimed Sushi Course
Black Cod with Jalapeño Miso
Wagyu Eringi with Red Onion Shiso Salsa
Heart of Palm Noodle Soup
The black cod with miso is Chef Nobu’s specialty. For this special affair, Chef Nobu will be backed by the Nobu Manila’s executive chef Zack Hillberry.
From his initial partnership with award-winning actor Robert De Niro (then a fan of the chef’s first restaurant, Matsuhisa) in 1993, Chef Nobu’s empire has grown to include 36 restaurants around the world. The chef will also be signing copies of his books (Nobu: The Cookbook, Nobu Now, and Nobu’s Vegetarian Cookbook), which will be sold at the dinner.
This exclusive event will be held at the Nobu Restaurant. A seat is priced at P7,000. For reservations, call City of Dreams at 800-8080 or Nobu at 691-2882.
