Debuting This Week: Philly Cheesesteak Pizza, Mango Cream Pie Gelato + more
Thank goodness for more ice cream.
(SPOT.ph) Looks like Holy Week was a busy one for some restaurants. It’s a new month, a new week, and we’re seeing new items from their kitchens. Here’s a sneak peek at some of them:
Shakey’s Philippines has launched a pizza version of a Philly Cheesesteak. Theirs is every bit the classic sandwich, complete with pieces of steak, bell peppers, caramelized onions, and lots and lots of cheese, but on a yummy flat disc instead of a bun. All we can think about, though, is that it better come on their famous thin crust.
Helping us with the sticky summer heat is Cara Mia Gelateria. The ice cream cake emporium is making the month cooler with a brand new flavor: a mouthwatering Mango Cream Pie Gelato. That bright tropical flavor is given extra decadence by the graham speckles that will help ease this unbearable warmth.
Cafe Shibuya has released a new molten cake flavor. Strawberries and Cream is a sweet start to April. It’s also served a la mode, which layers more creaminess to this yummy treat.
In more restaurant news, The Moment Group’s first burger concept, Burger Bar, in Greenbelt 2 has been converted to an 8 Cuts branch (there are now eight 8 Cuts branches in Metro Manila). Don’t forget, Karen’s Kitchen is also opening its Kapitolyo outlet today.
