Chili lovers, you'll want to go to Quezon City this weekend
Fire up your taste buds with the Chilli Festival in Quezon City.
(SPOT.ph) Bring some milk because this is going to be one hot weekend. The second annual Chilli Festival is happening on July 4 and 5 at Green Daisy, 20 Maginhawa Street, Teachers Village, Quezon City.
Competition is heating up with contests on July 4 for the best hot sauce (there are categories for labuyo, non-labuyo, and paste) and best plant-in-show (categories for labuyo, Capsicum chinense, and other varieties). On July 5, get fired up with a cook-off to find the yummiest skewers, Bicol Express, and kaldereta, as well as the search for the best chili pod.
Pickled products from Chili Asylum
Each day's festivities start at 8 a.m. Entrance is free and visitors can fill up on their chili needs via a bazaar that'll feature the likes of Chili Asylum, Earnest Bakes, and more. If you're a hardcore chili lover, you can even join the seed swap!
The Chilli Festival is organized by Chilliheads Philippines.
