You won't believe this isn't chicharon!

This tastes and looks like the favorite pulutan, but without the guilt.

 

(SPOT.ph) These crunchy things? You can have them with beer and friends, but what you won't have is the health hazard. They look like chicharon bulaklak, but they are, in fact, a different kind of flower: cauliflower (har har)—and broccoli. It's chicharon a la Take Root

 

 

Take Root, which is a heath-nut favorite for their menu of vegan options like Kale Mix Chips in various flavors, has come up with these Cauli-Broc Chicharon (P220/70 grams) as an alternative to, you know, the sinful stuff. The cauliflower and broccoli florets are dried crunchy. No frying, no baking, no oil. It's a crunchy punch of vitamin C and K.
