The chef behind Locavore and FAT will go Mexican next month

More magic coming from Chef Mikel Zaguirre


( The details are still kept under wraps, but here's something to get excited about: Chef Mikel Zaguirre, the prolific flavor-slinging 28-year-old chef behind the kitchens of Locavore and FAT, is opening a Mexican restaurant next month.


We're guessing it'll be some sort of taqueria because he will be serving tacos made with masa or corn tortillas. Yum! With his track record of never holding back on a plate, expect playful combinations, loaded stuffings, and exuberant flavor profiles. 



Here's an example of a taco with a masa tortilla. We have no doubt Chef Mikel's will be a lot more over-the-top (but just right).


Chef Mikel will be cooking up reportedly in Better Living, Parañaque City. But for now, you can enjoy his brand of cuisine at Locavore (Brixton Street, Pasig City) and FAT (Forbes Town Center, Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City).
