A Visual Guide to Pinoy Street Food
Yummy magazine takes you on a quick street food tour
(SPOT.ph) Sorbetes expert? Kwek-kwek connoisseur? Great! Filipino street food is a cottage thesis in itself and we take a certain amount of pride in how nostalgically comforting and delicious our roadside grub is.
To help out those who are oblivious about Pinoy street food beyond the likes of fish balls, Yummy.ph took a walking tour of the streets of Manila, and made a really cool video of sidewalk eats that are making our mouths water. Observe:
The video covers your basic streetfood menu—from isaw to chicken ass to carioca, but if you're craving more exotic food, there's always Betamax (congealed pork blood shaped like those obsolete video tapes), Adidas (chicken feet, but you can get that in any dim sum restaurant), and even chicken heads. We're honestly thankful that they didn't put iskrambol or mangga't bagoong. Our cravings wouldn't be able to handle it.
