This famous cheesecake place is now a full-fledged cafe
Kumori has also launched a new line of milkshakes
Sweet Corn and Matcha
(SPOT.ph) Kumori will soon be joining sister restaurant, Osaka Ohsho, in its new home in SM North EDSA. The Japanese bakery, which is famous for its melt-in-your-mouth Hanjuku cheesecake, has expanded from the grab-and-go delis in Makati to a full-fledged cafe in Quezon City, which will open on February 1.
As the first stand-alone branch in the Philippines, Cafe Kumori will feature an open kitchen (because nothing is more exciting than seeing pastries baked on-site), modern Japanese interiors, wooden fixtures, and memorabilia that traces the brand's roots in Nagoya.
On the menu will be bestsellers like the signature cheesecakes, Salted Cheese Yakigashi, Krone, and Caramel Crunch Cake, as well as coffee and tea-based drinks. Cafe Kumori will also offer elaborate milkshakes in flavors like Matcha, Sweet Corn, and Chocolate Hazelnut. They're picture-perfect coolers flourished with cereals, wafers, and popcorn.
Kumori Cottage Cheese
Another treat making its debut will be the Kumori Cottage Cheese. Quite unlike the usual mild cheese, this Japanese take is a light and delicate cheese pudding that has a slightly sweet and salty profile.
Cafe Kumori will be at G/F The Block, SM North EDSA, Quezon City. Read more about Kumori.
