KA Pastries by Chef Cicou moves out of SM Mega Fashion Hall

We'll see you at Impressions, Chef Cicou


(SPOT.ph) A couple of months after award-winning chef Cyrille "Cicou" Soenen shut down his beloved French restaurant, Brasserie Cicou in San Juan, comes another sad announcement: His dessert stall, KA Pastries, has moved out of SM Mega Fashion Hall and is temporarily closed. 


According to a KA Pastries' Facebook post published today, February 15: "Please be informed that we moved out of Megamall, and will open our kiosk in another mall later this year!!"


KA Pastries is where Chef Cicou offered his famous kouign-amann (whose initials make up the shop's name). It's a famous French pastry, a flaky cake with a texture very similar to puff pastry. KA is also where Chef Cicou launched his hybrid, Cronaps, a marriage of croissant and Negrense napoleones. 


The Cicou team has yet to reveal their next location, but for now, the Master Chef of France is busy cooking for Resorts World Manila's Impressions Restaurant.
