Voting for cupcakes is easier than voting for a new president
If only voting were as easy as eating cupcakes.
(SPOT.ph) You can never be exactly sure how accurate political surveys are, but we did find one that's certainly delicious.
Amid the hustle and bustle of the May 2016 elections, Park Avenue Desserts has come up with a more fun way to get people interested. This Makati sweet shop designed cupcakes to represent the presidential candidates, with the frosting showing off their parties' colors.
Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago is a sprinkle-speckled Red Velvet; Interior and Local Government Sec. Mar Roxas is a bright yellow Banana Salted Caramel; Vice President Jejomar Binay is a bright blue Chocolate Truffle. Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is a swirly blue-red Blue Velvet Cheesecake, while Sen. Grace Poe is a cream-colored Vanilla Citrus.
For 10 weeks, P.A.D. will tally the votes, or rather, the orders to see which "candidate" is leading the pack. Last week, Mayor Duterte's Blue Velvet Cheesecake won.
It's a delicious idea, but what if we really just had a hankering for a particular flavor?
Park Avenue Desserts is at G/F MagaCenter, Paseo de Magallanes Commercial Center, Makati City.
