Chili's has Cherry Cola Ribs!
Plus, more new items from this beloved hangout
Cherry Cola Ribs
(SPOT.ph) If you could take a minute away from the unlimited nacho chips, then you might have noticed that Chili's just welcomed new items on the menu, including an intriguing Cherry Cola Baby Back Ribs (P695/half rack, P985/full rack).
The first of two new rib dishes, this enticing plate features tender baby back ribs slow-smoked over pecan wood and basted with a cherry cola glaze. Chef Mckoy Gabriel explained that the pecan wood gives the ribs that distinct nutty flavor, and it also cuts on the sweetness to put the flavor on a Filipino-friendly level.
Chipotle Blueberry Baby Back Ribs
The "House of Ribs" also came up with Chipotle Blueberry Baby Back Ribs (P695/half rack, P985/full rack). Using the same pecan wood component, this version is basted with chipotle blueberry sauce that gives the rack a darker gloss. Each bite is an overload of sweet, spice, and smoke.
If you're not looking for something brawny, the Skillet BBQ Sliders (P435) promises a punch of flavors in a delicate (sort of) setup. Three types of meat are shredded ranchero-style and served on a hot skillet, surrounded by four miniature buns. The chicken, beef, and pork carnitas are then topped with pickled red onions and fresh cilantro. It's a D.I.Y. system, where you can scoop up as much or as little as you want into your bun. Available garnishes include house-made pickles, roasted garlic BBQ sauce, or honey-chipotle sauce. Pro tip: Lighten up on the extras. The meat is flavorful enough on their own.

Try the Texas Trio (P875) for an explosion of flavors. It's a line-up of light and decadent salmon on slaw, drizzled with honey-chipotle sauce; juicy ribs on mashed potatoes, drizzled with Chili’s classic BBQ sauce; and chicken breast on smoked corn relish, fully coated with roasted garlic BBQ sauce.
To cap off your new Chili's feast, there's Grapefruit Margarita (P200), a refreshing and fruity concoction of tequila, grapefruit juice, soda water, and house-made lime sour, that will whisk your taste buds to a relaxing beach escapade. There's also a virgin, in case you're not looking for anything too strong.
