Learn coffee tips and tricks at the Starbucks Coffee Appreciation Festival
Happening this weekend!
(SPOT.ph) Take your love for coffee to the next level and have a crash course in preparing the best brews. The Starbucks Coffee Appreciation Festival, happening April 2 to 3 at Shangri-La Plaza's Grand Atrium, is a fun exploration into this popular drink.
Booths will be laid out to take you on a coffee journey—from narratives about coffee's origins to touring you through the most notable coffee bean regions to different processing methods, including the trademarked Starbucks Roast.
Starbucks Global Coffee Masters will be behind the booths to instruct participants on how to get the best cup of joe for their beans every time. The four fundamentals of brewing will be taught (the right proportion of coffee to water, grind levels, temperature levels, and freshness of the beans), as well brewing demonstrations where interested folks can try their hand at making blends. If you've ever wanted to learn how to use a coffee press, now's the time. Or you can even graduate to the pour-over method.
Coffee tasting will also be available for those who just need a caffeine fix.
The Starbucks Coffee Appreciation Festival is free, but the first 500 participants each day can get an exclusive Starbucks Coffee Explorer Kit.
