It's crazy hot, but these summer drinks will save the day
...and save you from melting.
(SPOT.ph) It's summer, which means it's twice as hot in Metro Manila than it usually is. This is the time when restaurants and cafes especially bust out the creative juices to develop drinks that not only taste good, they have to be extra refreshing. Here are a few that we've spotted.
Serenitea's Matcha Slush
This one might appeal to those who aren't big fans of the earthy ingredient. Serenitea adds real Reese's in the mix!

Costa Coffee's Matcha Green Tea and Raspberry Iced Tea
Looks like this coffee chain is decaffeinating for the summer. You can have the Matcha Green Tea hot, as a Frostino, or as an Ice Shaken Latte, but if you're craving fruity flavors, go for the Raspberry Iced Tea made with freshly brewed English Breakfast Tea.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's Sweet Teas
CBTL has an entire bevy of drinks this summer. Their new line of tea-based blended beverages—available as Iced Sweet Teas and Sweet Teas Ice Blended—features tasty, fruity flavors that will refresh you right up. Whichever variant you order is sunshine in a cup.

Starbucks' Roasted Marshmallow S'mores and Summer Berry Panna Cotta Frappuccinos
The Summer Berry Panna Cotta is making a big comeback this summer, but what we're really excited about is the sinful Roasted Marshmallow S'mores Frappuccino—it's our favorite campfire treat (as if camping was really big in the Philippines) but with a kick of coffee. Both drinks will be available on April 19.

Summer Javakulas from Seattle's Best Coffee
Two fun flavors are joining SBC's roster of drinks this summer. Cool down with either the Double Chocolate Fudge (this one is loaded with actual brownie chunks) or the Triple Vanilla Crunch (a decaf blend with vanilla ice cream and caramel crunch).

Chatime's Tropical Delight
Bright, fruity flavors always set the tone for summer, and Chatime surely understands that. They're infusing the best of the season into their milk teas in their three-piece summer line: Mango Milk Tea, Coconut Milk Tea, and Watermelon Milk Tea.

Fruitas' Coco Fiesta
These tropical drinks will send you straight to the beach even on the hottest Manila day. Reliable shake stand Fruitas has injected coconut into three summer flavors. They have Coco Mango, Coco Langka, and Coco Leche.
