Sebastian's relaunches 30-layer popsicles, Sweet Degrees unveils soft-serve menu
We haven't warmed up to this heat.
(SPOT.ph) By now, you already know that Ian Carandang of Sebastian's Ice Cream is willing to go to great lengths for the coolest desserts. To combat the heat of summer, he has relaunched the Strati pops—30-layer ice popsicles that flaunt intense flavor.
Each Strati is meticulously made, with real fruits and one layer frozen at a time. Sebastian's has six flavors available: Halo-Halo (stripes of kaong, nata de coco, mung beans, garbanzo, saba, macapuno, halaya, jackfruit, and pinipig), Berrylicious (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry), Rainbow (a rainbow pop of strawberry, mango, orange, green apple, bluebbery, black currant, and grape), Mais Con Hielo (creamed corn, evaporated milk, and cornflakes), Guavaberry (a refresher of guava, pineapple, and strawberry), and Sunshine on a Stick (a bright mix of mango, orange, peach, and passion fruit). The Strati costs P95 a pop.
Sebastian's Ice Cream has branches at Regis Center, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City; SM Mall of Asia, Pasig City; and The Podium, Mandaluyong City. Read more about Sebastian's Ice Cream.
Meanwhile, another ice cream stop, Sweet Degrees, is also coming up with more ways to keep cool this summer. The stall, which specializes in mantou ice cream sandwiches, has just released a new soft-serve ice cream (P50). Nowadays, you can't get away with serving it plain. Sweet Degrees embellishes theirs with caramel, popcorn, and an upside-down wafer cone.
A faster reprieve from the heat, however, would be their floats. Sweet Degrees offers two: a hearty A&W Root Beer Float (P75) and a zippy Dr. Pepper Cherry Cola (P75). The new desserts are available only from Thursday to Sunday.
Sweet Degrees is at F7 Pop-Up, Scout Rallos Street, Quezon City. Read more about Sweet Degrees.
