Canadian coffee shop Tim Hortons is expanding to the Philippines
Soon you'll be able to order a double-double!
(SPOT.ph) Coffee and donut breaks are about to get more exciting. Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons is coming to the Philippines! Restaurant Brands International, owner and operator of Tim Hortons and Burger King, have chosen the Philippines as their first stop in Asia, according to a report on The Canadian Press.
Tim Hortons opened its first restaurant in Canada in 1964, followed by the U.S. in 1984, and now has more than 100 stores in the Middle East. The restaurant is known for their “double-double,” or coffee with two creams and two sugars, as well as their donuts. Restaurant Brands International (RBI) also promised to keep the same menu in Manila, including Canadian favorites like Timbits (bite-sized donuts) and Iced Capps (frozen coffee drink), with some new surprise items. No word yet on when Tim Hortons will open its doors here or where the first branch will be, but we hope it's happening real soon.
