Hip Hong-Kong Café Elephant Grounds Is Opening Their First Manila Branch

...in Bonifacio Global City!

(SPOT.ph) Hong Kong is a lot of folks' favorite weekend getaway since the island is just a couple hours' flight from Manila. Plus, it's home to a lot of great restaurants and cool cafés that make us wish we could fly away to HK all the time. Lucky for you, if you're missing hip coffee shop Elephant Grounds, they're opening a branch in Bonifacio Global City before the year ends!

Elephant Grounds is a micro-roaster and café, which Kevin Poon and Gerald Li opened in 2013. Since then, they've become pretty popular in Hong Kong, with five branches and the occasional pop-up. A visit to one of their outposts lets you know immediately why they're so well-liked: You won't be able to resist their wooden décor and trendy garden-inspired interiors. They use both locally sourced coffee beans and imported ones, and they have freshly baked bread and homemade cookies for their best-selling ice-cream sandwiches.

Elephant Grounds is also known for their fun ice-cream sandwiches, like this Brown Butter Pecan ice cream sandwiched between chocolate cookies and topped with crushed Maltesers.

They also offer an à-la-carte menu with dishes like Buffalo Wings, Unagidon, and Bistro Fries.
