(SPOT.ph) If you saw long lines in a mall in the past weeks, it would've been safe to assume it was either people lining up for the lotto or for Maxi Mango. The dessert stall from Davao has been making waves ever since they arrived in Manila for a series of pop-ups with their mango float ice-cream sundaes. If you're one of those who can't get enough of this dessert, having your fix just got easier with permanent stalls now open all over Manila. We dropped by the second one (in two days!) at Robinsons Galleria, and the lines were pretty crazy.

According to owner Miki Velasquez, Maxi Mango is taking a break from their pop-ups to concentrate on their permanent stalls. "Dati kasi super cinareer ko kasi yung pop-ups. Talagang there were no gaps in between each one," she shares. "We'll still join pop-ups but mas pili na depending na on the location and the organizer." But with lots of permanent branches in the works, you won't miss them that much: "We opened one last Saturday at SM Mall of Asia so this is the second one," she says. "And after this we're opening at UP Town Center on October 22, but that's by a franchisee already. And then after is Vista Mall on October 31 but that's tentative pa. And then SM North on November 1, SM Bacoor and Gateway on November 5 and then SM Fairview on November 30."

Velasquez shares that an expanded menu that will feature more fruits is in the works. "My goal is to support Filipino farmers so I'll be featuring more fruits from the Philippines. And it'll all still be fruit-centric so you won't find cookie-toppings any time soon." Looks like you're going to have more reasons to line up.
Maxi Mango is at G/F North Wing, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City; and Eat Street, G/F Robinsons Galleria, EDSA corner Ortigas Avenue, Ortigas, Quezon City.
