Corner Tree Café Finally Opens a Second Branch

After almost 10 years!

(SPOT.ph) Whether it's on your new year's resolution to become a little bit healthier this year, or you just really like eating plant-based dishes,  a lot of us know that finding great vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Metro Manila can be difficult. A reliable favorite is Corner Tree Café along Jupiter Street in Makati—and you'll be happy to find out that they've finally opened a second branch at Power Plant Mall after almost 10 years!

In an interview with SPOT.ph, owner Chiqui Mabanta shares that plans to open a second branch have always been in place but she was just waiting for the right location. "I always thought I'd open a second branch If the right place came up but [I] didn't want to force it. I never actively searched," she shares. "[But] I also have a commissary outside the café  so [it] made sense to have more than [one]."

"When the Rockwell space was suggested, [though] I thought it's my favorite mall and I actually go [there] every week," she adds. "It's also close to the commissary and I knew it's exactly my market."

Corner Tree Café is known for hearty and tasty Asian, Middle Eastern, African, American, and European vegetarian dishes that'll make even the most stubborn veggie-hater change their mind. According to Mabanta, the menu at Corner Tree Café Power Plant Mall may be slightly smaller to match the size of the kitchen. Be sure to try their Tofu Walnut Burger, which you can get either with whole-wheat buns or on top of organic red rice. She also has plans to introduce snacks for moviegoers (their new branch is in front of the cinemas), which is just more reason to come visit.

Corner Tree Café is at 3/F Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City.
