(SPOT.ph) Though the Philippines is one of the countries blessed with great biodiversity, we also have an award we shouldn't be as proud of: In a 2015 study, the Philippines was found to be one of the top five producers of plastic waste in the world. Luckily, a lot of folks are doing their part—and you can, too, whenever you feel like going on a fro-yo run. llaollao just launched new take-out containers for their half-liter and one-liter frozen yogurt for an additional P100 with every order.
The package, which looks like a cute green apple, has two layers: a compartment for your frozen yogurt and a top layer divided into sections for your crunches and sauces. Plus, every time you come back to llaollao with your takeaway container, you get P30 off your next order of take-home frozen yogurt. Currently, you can only get the takeaway packaging at Glorietta 2, but it will also be available at other branches soon.
You know what else can help you reduce your personal plastic waste? Choosing cones instead of cups! You can now opt to have your frozen yogurt in their new Cookie Cones (starts at P59). You can have your Cookie Cone topped with Oreo or Lotus Biscoff for an additional P10 or Black Chocolate, White Chocolate or Cookie Sauce for an additional P20.
