(SPOT.ph) If two of your personality traits are "caffeine junkie" and "cat lover," there's an event in town that you might want to check out. To celebrate International Cat Day on August 8, PETA has partnered up with cafés around the Metro for Coffee for Cats Day. On this day, you can get a special vegan coffee blend from participating cafés and part of the proceeds will go to the free spaying and neutering of cats to support the group's Kapon/Ligation Immediately, Please spay/neuter program.

Participating cafés include % Arabica, Antipodean Café, Chemistea, Corner Tree Café, Manna & Golde, The Fat Seed Cafe + Roastery, The Kismet Café & Wellness Market, and YDG Coffee. In an e-mail sent by PETA senior vice president Jason Baker, he shares: "For every cat and dog who gets 'snipped' by [the Kapon/Ligation Immediately, Please (KLIP) spay/neuter program], countless more won't be born into a world already bursting at the seams with neglected and homeless companion animals." Knowing that you're helping a stray cat is more than enough reason to try non-dairy coffee.
