This Hotel's New Menu Makes It Easy to Go Meatless
Ready to go vegan?
(SPOT.ph) Meat—whether it's chicken, pork, or beef—is a staple for the majority of Filipinos so going completely meatless is almost unthinkable. But many have actually made the switch to vegan, and luckily for them, more restaurants are starting to consider adding plant-based options to their menu. Until October 31, Sheraton Manila is introducing vegan dishes to their menu.
Thanks to soy-based protein created by Nurture Farmacy in Tagaytay, Sheraton's executive chef Kiko Santiago is able to give familiar dishes a meatless twist. Expect the same spicy heat and rich creaminess from the Plant-based Beef Rendang, and the familiar hearty warmth and refreshing sourness from the Plant-based Beef Sinigang. Other menu options include Pancit Bihon topped with peppery plant-based longganisa crumbs and a vegan Embutido. These entrées go for P640 to P690.
Aside from being completely vegan, Sheraton also makes sure that the way they create their food is sustainable and good for the environment, sourcing almost all their ingredients from their own farm at Nurture Farmacy. Whether you've gone completely vegan or want to check out what meatless versions of your favorite dishes would be like, Sheraton's new menu is worth checking out.
Sheraton Manila Hotel is at 80 Andrews Avenue, Pasay City.
