(SPOT.ph) At this point, we’re convinced milk tea might just end wars. The brown-sugar variety in particular has made even more waves over the past year or so, resulting in crazy-long lines at the more popular milk-tea spots in Metro Manila. And it looks like that list of popular spots is about to get a little longer.
We spotted one of Taiwan's most famous milk-tea haunts, JLD Dragon, at Robinsons Galleria in July, and we can now confirm that they're set to open on November 8, Friday.
Though they'll be serving easy favorites like the Brown Sugar Bubble Black Tea, the Brown Sugar Milk, and the Brown Sugar Matcha Bubble Milk, JLD boasts an honest-to-goodness twist on all things milk tea, from their use of real Okinawan brown sugar to their Bubble Milk Tea Flavored Popcorn. Their menu is still mostly under wraps, but you can be sure to see soufflés in flavors like Earl Grey and Kyoto Matcha, as well as some other desserts exclusive to the Philippines, by December 6.
JLD Dragon is at 2/F Veranda, Robinsons Galleria, Ortigas, Quezon City.
