(SPOT.ph) You’ve probably seen Starbucks Reserve stores pop up a few times around Metro Manila and even outside of the country. They kind of prove that while coffee shops are great places to be stuck in, there's always a way to further improve the experience, so you're not actually just waiting around with your coffee. This is what the first Reserve store outside of Metro Manila—in Ayala Malls Central Bloc, Cebu City, to be specific—seems to be setting out to do.

There are two coffee bars at this branch: One is the counter, where you go, “Hmmm,” before making your order and forgetting to give your name as if you haven’t done this hundreds of times before; the other is the Reserve Bar, specifically built for showcasing various brewing methods, so you can see how your drink is prepared. The store's interior design noticeably features soft curves and waves—and the same elements are also highlighted in the mural created by Filipino artist Hannah Sol Hortelano-Obcial.

The classic coffee-based ice cream drinks like the Classic Affogato make an appearance here, too, so if you’re ever traveling south, you definitely won’t have to go without it.
