Here's Where You Can Get Puto Bumbong and Bibingka in Doughnut Form
Christmas ain't over just yet!
(SPOT.ph) Simbang Gabi season may have officially ended for the year, but that’s not to say you can’t still enjoy the flavors associated with it—especially when they’re remixed into different forms. Imagine bibingka or puto bumbong in doughnut form? Well, Poison Coffee & Doughnuts took a crack on it! They have released Puto Bumbong (P80) and Bibingka (P105) variants of their signature pastries for the holiday season, and they’re available for a limited time only.
The Puto Bumbong doughnut pays tribute to the steamed purple rice cake with an ube glaze, dessicated coconut, and even Star Margarine (it’s integral to puto bumbong’s characteristic flavor, after all!). The Bibingka doughnut, on the other hand, has a coconut and an egg filling for a sweet-and-salty bite that goes especially well with their Mocha (P155). The doughnuts will only be available until supplies last, so try them while you can!
