We've Been Seeing This Unagi Dish on Our Feeds; Here's Where to Get It

(SPOT.ph) With the recent popularity of sushi bake, layered seafood dishes have become all the rage. This new creation is a treat for lovers of unadon—the Japanese dish of steamed rice topped with unagi, a.k.a. grilled eel. Dubbed the Unagikuu (P2,800/good for four), this dish by Ley’s Kitchen consists of succulent grilled eel on top of scrambled eggs and flavored rice for an umami-filled treat. It doesn't scrimp on the unagi, and the savory-sweetness of the eel goes with the creaminess of the egg and the ultra-flavorful rice. The tobiko on top also adds extra pops of saltiness that really brings each bite to the next level.

Ley’s Kitchen accepts orders for pickup from their Quezon City outpost, though you can opt to book your own courier if you prefer to get it delivered. For orders, send a text, Whatsapp, or Viber message to 0917-848-6889 at least two days in advance; payment options include BPI bank deposit or GCash.

Apart from the Unagikuu, Ley’s Kitchen offers a bounty of other seafood dishes. They’re especially known for their crab dishes—try the Soy Garlic Crab (P7,000/good for five to seven) or the Coconut Curry Crab (P7,000/good for five to seven), both of which use especially juicy crabs that are brimming with meat.

Ley's Kitchen's take on sushi bake is another crowdpleaser. Dubbed the Ebi Kani Aburi (P2,500/good for five), it's got shrimps and kani on rice, matched with a smoky torched top. And if you must have your meat, Ley’s Kitchen also makes a mean Beef Rendang (P3,500/good for five) that’s especially tender and flavorful.
