These Lucky Me! Pancit Canton Redesigns Are as Out-of-the-Box as They Can Get
Imagine the instant noodles given a minimalist or an eco-friendly makeover.
(SPOT.ph) We all know and love Lucky Me!'s Pancit Canton: it's familiar, it's easy to prepare, and its umami-filled flavors are always a treat. It's so well-loved that a fan went as far as starting an online petition when Monde Nissin, the company behind instant-noodle brand introduced thicker noodles sometime in 2016 (and ICYMI, the thin noodles are back!).
Part and parcel of its appeal is its packaging, what with its campy aesthetic and bright color scheme that immediately draws your attention from the shelves of the supermarket. But what if you could give Lucky Me! a whole new look? Perhaps that idea has been on the minds of some creative minds, as we've spotted plenty of incredibly imaginative redesigns for Lucky Me!'s packaging making the rounds on social media.
Of course, this is all just for amusement's sake—freelance design firm Joseph Ubas Creatives clarifies that they posted their minimalist take "just [as] a fun experiment and [for] aesthetics purposes only, disregarding the marketing and advertising side of it." But it's always cool to imagine how the Filipino-favorite instant noodles would look with a different theme, or how it would translate into other food formats.
From handy versions to a cup that comes with a straw, check out these conceptual packaging ideas for Lucky Me!:
Fans of artisanal, eco-friendly products would approve this version. That price tag though.
For road trips, maybe?
