(SPOT.ph) Cebu City is in no way short of restos with cool views, from a quaint café, to a hearty brunch spot, and yup, even dim sum, you're sure to find your fave type of cuisine served up alongside unbeatable sights. If you've got a hankering for some good old Pinoy-style barbecue, we suggest Chixboy! This casual spot in Busay—a few meters away from the popular Temple of Leah—hangs over epic city and nature views.
Take a look at that spacious deck! The restaurant is a pretty new place and they take the current health restrictions very seriously, so setting it outdoors was a big plus. They are open daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Don't forget to bring your face masks and shields.
Chixboy was originally a food truck that served up good old BBQ hits. They opened up their more permanent spot in November with a full menu of grilled meats and seafoods. The classic Pinoy BBQ stick is at P20 each, or you can go full on and get a slab of Belly, a.k.a. liempo, for P150. For seafood lovers, take a look at those Scallops (P120)on the grill. There's also chicken, Pecho or Paa, for P90. Round out your Cebuano meal with a Pusó (P8) or two.
Metro Manila folks can get some hearty barbecue, too, courtesy of food hall Off-Grid's concept, Tabi-Tabi. Check out that sweet glaze on the freshly grilled pork and chicken! You can get Pork Barbecue Balot (P295), Chicken Barbecue Balot (P295/quarter, P495/half), or Chicken & One-Piece Pork Barbecue Balot (P370). Best part? All orders come with the Garlic Confit Rice, Monggong may Tinapa, and Muscovado-Garlic Sauce. Tabi-Tabi is open exclusively for delivery; call Off-Grid through 0917-703-0729 or send a message to Off-Grid on Facebook or Instagram.
