Fake McDonald’s Delivery Websites Are Making the Rounds Online
Be careful when ordering online.
(SPOT.ph) Delivery websites make it all the more convenient to order your food with a few clicks and taps on your computer or smartphone—but you'll want to be careful when you place your order online. McDonald's has issued a warning about fake McDelivery websites that have been making the rounds on the Internet, and you'll definitely want to keep your guard up.
Be wary of these fake McDonald's delivery websites:
The said websites are a certain Ph-McDelivery.Online and and Ph-Mcdonalds.Online. Both pages display an interface that looks different from the look of the McDelivery website but could pass as your usual ordering website. Both sites are still up as of writing.
Phishing scams involve attempts to trick you into giving out your personal information—think names, addresses, bank or credit card numbers—by posing as other legitimate businesses organizations. Some of the popular forms they come are e-mail messages, texts, and websites; for websites, it pays to always check the URL of the website you're dealing with. In this case, it should be McDelivery.com.ph; should you come across any other suspicious websites, McDonald's (yes, the real McDonald's) advises that you reach out to them via firstname.lastname@example.org.
