For the Consummate Tea Lover: 4 New Dishes to Try at TWG Tea

They're tea-licious.

(SPOT.ph) Since opening its first store in the Philippines back in 2012, TWG Tea has set the bar for what a proper tea salon and boutique should be. Its classy setup and welcoming ambiance have made it a favorite among those looking to just unwind and indulge.

It's the establishment's impressive menu that really stands out, though. There are over 400 single estate harvests and exclusive blends on its tea list, including bestsellers Silver Moon Tea (P195/pot), Red of Africa (P195/glass), and Eternal Summer (P195/glass). Both sweet and savory eats are served as well, such as the TWG Tea Scones (P150/2 pieces), Chocolate Fondant (P295), Scallops Linguine (P525), Beef Tenderloin, and of course, the famous Neapolitan Tea & Caramel Macaron (P60/piece).

And now, new tea-infused eats have joined the lineup. Here's a sneak peek of the latest offerings at TWG Tea:

Baked Chicken Gratin

The Napoleon Tea lends a sweet aroma to the Baked Chicken Gratin (P575), which is marinated in rosemary and paprika, served on a bed of potato gratin and spinach puree, and topped with cream cheese, hollandaise, and broccoli florets.

Nicoise Salad

If you're looking for something light, order the Nicoise Salad (P495). It's a flavorful dish from Southern France that combines seared tiger prawn, tuna confit, fresh greens, baby potatoes, soft quail eggs, edamame, sweet bell peppers, and olives. It's infused with Matcha green tea to give it an earthier tone and texture.

Neapolitan Beef

Meanwhile, the Neapolitan Beef (P695) features a hearty, succulent cut of braised beef doused in Neapolitan sauce and infused with Comptoir des Indes Tea. Baby potatoes and buttered asparagus round out the meal.

Pasta Puttanesca

Lastly, there's TWG Tea's Pasta Puttanesca (P575), which has a vibrant and bold flavor that is amplified by the infusion of Eternal Summer Tea. The blend complements the sweet and buttery flavors of the accompanying pan-seared sea bass fillet, sauteed garlic, anchovies, olives, and capers.
