(SPOT.ph) If your love for coffee goes beyond pointing at the most familiar thing on the menu (like a Spanish latte)—or ever genuinely wondered how some people can yap and yap about coffee nonstop—the Philippine Coffee Expo 2026 is worth checking out.
It's the country's largest coffee-focused exhibition, which sounds a little too serious and buttoned-up, but it's not just for industry insiders. The annual event brings together everyone involved in getting coffee from the farm to the final product: the coffee you drink.
The annual event is brewing this June, and here's your guide to making the most of it.
Your Guide to the Philippine Coffee Expo 2026

The Philippine Coffee Expo 2026 is set to happen on June 5 to 7, Friday to Sunday It's going to be three full days of coffee, starting from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at The Space, One Ayala, Makati City. This gives attendees plenty of time to explore the exhibit, discover new beans and brewing methods, join talks and workshops, and, of course, drink a lot of coffee along the way.
This year’s theme, "Creating Shared Ground,” is all about bringing the Philippine coffee industry together—farmers, roasters, traders, businesses, and consumers—to build stronger, more connected growth across the entire coffee chain.
Exhibitors at The Philippine Coffee Expo 2026

The Philippine Coffee Expo 2026 will fill up One Ayala's The Space with over 50 exhibitors from across the coffee chain. From coffee shops and roasters to equipment suppliers, exporters, government agencies, and industry groups, the Expo brings together the people and businesses pushing coffee forward.

Events at The Philippine Coffee Expo 2026
If you want to deepen your knowledge with the beans, the process—the science of it all, really—the Philippine Coffee Expo planned events during the three-day event.
Cupping Exchange Schedule
The event will also feature scheduled cupping sessions showcasing a curated selection of coffees from different origins, producers, and roasters—including coffee from the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition. The competition was held in Sultan Kudarat a few days ago, and the winners and the auction will take place during the Expo.
The Cupping Exchange takes place in a dedicated Cupping Room, where attendees can join guided tasting sessions designed to deepen their understanding of coffee. Participants will have the opportunity to taste coffees side by side while learning about their origins, processing methods, roasting approaches, and quality evaluation directly from the presenters. The Cupping Exchange is open to all Expo attendees, subject to room capacity and seat availability.
Kape't Kwentuhan: June 5, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This event will explore different aspects of the coffee industry through a series of talks. Topics include coffee roasting with Mary Jane Cua, Head Roaster of Coffee Central Philippines; the economics and costing of local coffee with Cherry Cruz, Founder and CEO of Equilibrium Intertrade Corporation; how cafés can foster community with Jan Michael Java, owner of Damgo Coffee Shop; and the future of coffee amid changing climate conditions with Teddy Cañete, Chairperson of the Minoyan Murcia Marginal Coffee Growers Agri Coop.
Modulation: How Taste and Texture Interact and Affect Brewed Coffee: June 6, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Coffee is more complex than it gets credit for—it even has its own flavor wheel as a guide—but that doesn’t mean it has to feel intimidating. This intermediate workshop, led by Lica Valdez, Coffee Quality Consultant and Sensory Specialist, is designed as an easy entry point into the sensory side of coffee, focusing on how taste and mouthfeel shape the overall drinking experience.
Participants will learn how sweetness, saltiness, bitterness, savoriness, and sourness influence brewed coffee, and why understanding these elements matters whether you're brewing or simply enjoying a cup.
This is priced at P1,200 per head (inclusive of materials). See registration form here.
SCA Introduction to Cupping: June 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Want to learn more about cupping? This program, led by Mike Hernando, owner of One Coffee Studio, is made for those who want to know the foundational practices of cupping and sensory analysis. Based on the Coffee Value Assessment and sensory science, this program gives participants a hands-on introduction to professional cupping.
This is priced at P1,200 per head (inclusive of materials and SCA certification). See registration form here.
