(SPOT.ph) The matcha trend is making green-tinted, micro-foamed waves in the Metro. This might just be the strongest one we’ve seen in a loooong while, and we’re not expecting it to die down anytime soon—e-ver, if we’re completely being honest. Matcha-centric events are keeping us caffeinated even on weekend trips to a new matcha bar, and now, even on weekdays? Case in point: What's The Tea? at The Podium, kicking off this August 4.

Here's what you need to know about What’s The Tea? at The Podium
What's The Tea? is a can't-be-missed pop-up happening at The Podium in Mandaluyong, open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from August 4 to 8—that's this coming Monday to Friday. This tea party will gather merchants whose menu is tea-dominated, including matcha, of course, but also beyond it, should you want to discover more.
The confirmed What’s The Tea merchants are Matcha Mama, which sells their matcha in bottles, making it perfect if you're always on-the go and if you like the tea but don't like making it on your own; Lemoncha that's famous for its Yashi "Duck Sht Tea" Lemon Tea—and no, it's not made of duck's poop, just in case you were curious; Chicha San Chen, a Taiwan tea franchise that, of course, has Bubble Milk Tea, but also has fruit teas like the Taiwanese Fruit Tea, made with a black tea base and enhanced with flavors of pineapple, passion fruit, lemon, and more fruits; Smashing Lemons whose speciality is a refreshing signature Handmade Lemon Tea; Good Poison Iced Tea that sells canned iced teas infused with a unique fruit pairings such as Calamansi Peach Iced Tea and Hawthorn Berries Pu-Erh Tea; and Maison Midori, who will be serving hojicha and maroyaka lattes.
What’s The Tea? happens from August 4 to 8 at L/2 Atrium, The Podium, Mandaluyong City. For more information, check out The Podium’s Facebook page.
