(SPOT.ph) Metro Manila’s nightlife is the escape many of us need every once in a whileAfter all, nothing beats dining out and knocking back a few drinks in the company of friends on a hard day’s night.

At Uptown Bonifacio, you have more than a few options for dinner and drinks, and here are some of our favorites:

The Island

The Island is a new concept that can only be described as a cross between a bar and a food park. It has the same open-air club vibe as its former incarnations, except there are different stations this time around, each with its own specialty and setup.

There’s Coco Loco for cocktails and slushies; Super Papaya for more classic cocktails; Hops and Shots for all the beer and cocktail staples; and El Pirata, a convenience store with baskets you can take around with you, if you’re out for a light snack and some great drinks. If you’re looking for something a little heavier, head to Rum Jungle, a full-scale restaurant offering variety of filling eats, try the enormous rice bowls at Big Kahuna, or go for fresh seafood dishes at Catch & Release. For something grilled, you'll never go wrong with the barbecues at Smoking Hut.

The Island is located at The Palace Complex, Uptown Parade, Taguig.

Fil-Mexican fusion restaurant Gorda has some really unique items on its menu, like the Breakfast Taquito Sample (P320), which features beef tapa, pork tocino, and Vigan longganisa as small taco fillings, and the Pollo Inasal Skillet (P450), served with cilantro sinangag, take interesting twists on the familiar.

For drinks, we’re willing to bet that you’ve never had anything like Gorda’s Horchata Morena (P320), a rice milk-based drink spiked with rum and whiskey, and finished off with cinnamon.

Gorda is located on 2nd Floor, Uptown Parade, Taguig.

Versus Barcade

Uptown Parade’s Versus Barcade is an ideal option for big groups. It’s packed not only with some of the most recognizable ‘90s arcade games but also cocktails that are big enough to serve four to five people. If you’re feeling a little competitive, make it a night of drinking games, since Versus hosts them on a nightly basis.

They’re no slouch in the kitchen, either. Versus Barcade’s silog bowls (P200-P280) are the perfect hangover prevention power-up, and are an excellent dinner option even if you aren’t drinking that evening.

Versus Barcade is located on Ground Floor, Uptown Parade, Taguig.

The next time you’re off to have a little fun, make sure you head to Uptown Bonifacio and check out The Island, Gorda, or Versus Barcade. Each place offers a completely different experience, all of which leads to a fantastic evening.
