(SPOT.ph) In case you didn’t already know, we at SPOT.ph love watching movies. Since tomorrow is a holiday and we’re guessing you’re thinking of what to do, we thought we’d round up the new films opening in local theaters today. Just in case you’re in the mood to "relax, see a movie."
1. The Last Five Years
The film portrays the heartbreaking story of a novelist (Jeremy Jordan) and a struggling actress (Anna Kendrick), as they fall in love, get married, and grow apart-but told forward and backward. The musical was recently staged by 9 Works Theatrical, and its film version was adapted for the screen and directed by Richard LaGravenese.
2. Kingsman: The Secret Service
An elite spy organization recruits a rough-around-the-edges but promising kid into their competitive training program. The action-slash-comedy is directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars a butt-kicking Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Taron Edgerton.
