Why you should go: It's been four years since Gibson and Enid's kilig moment at Route 196 Bar, among other notable things, about Marie Jamora's Ang Nawawala. To celebrate the film's anniversary, there will be a film showing followed by a gig, featuring some of the bands and artists included in the Ang Nawawala OST! The night will feature performances by Ang Bandang Shirley, Tarsius, Flying Ipis, Hannah + Gabi, Ebe Dancel, Pedicab, Blast Ople.

Other details: Film showing starts 8 p.m. Get in for only P250, inclusive of a free drink!

Why you should go: From the team that brought you Notewordy comes another innovative spoken word event: all-collab spoken word! The premise is simple: All the acts feature collaborations. The open mic will prioritize those artists and performers who want to do collaborations. Game?

Why you should go: Enjoy the Wow, Ganda! music of She’s Only Sixteen, Cheats, Rusty Machines, Imelda, Curtismith, Lions and Acrobats, and Oh! Flamingo.

Why you should go: Born in the Philippines but based out of Washington DC, Manila Killa has been producing music since middle school, while toying around on GarageBand in late 2009. He’ll be playing in Black Market this weekend.

Saturday, July 23

 

 

Why you should go: It's a concert, photography exhibit, gig, and birthday celebration all rolled into one. Prints will be sold at the gate, as well! You can grab a couple, greet the hosts a happy birthday, and have your prints personally signed. With performances by Moonstar 88, Nicole Asensio, Gabby Alipe, Kjwan, Cheats, and Mayonnaise.
