Local Bands Come Together for the Environment at This Free Music Festival

Good music for a good cause!

(SPOT.ph) Christmas shopping, no matter how much we love retail therapy, can sometimes be a stressful experience. But not if you have homegrown bands performing your favorite songs nearby. Himig Para sa Kalikasan, which is a touring show that promotes green initiatives through music, is coming to Tiendesitas in Pasig City on December 8 from 12 p.m. onwards. Shoppers in the area can join the events—from panel discussions on climate change to live performances—all for free.

Himig Para sa Kalikasan hopes to bring together various environmental groups, from government-initiated campaigns to non-profit organizations. This is why one of the panel discussions is focused on the necessity of government action in mitigating climate change. There are also talks on the role of the business sector, media, and the youth in responding to climate crisis. In between these plenaries are performances from bands like Corvus Mind, Rosier, Balangkas, Jinn Divino, Out of Order, Kulasipiro, Alvic & Friends, Sunday Radio, Telegrama, My Ex-Girlfriend, Anwind, Yonin High, Viplava, Mind Money Circuit, and Jim Paredes.
