The trailer for Etiquette for Mistresses is as catty as you'd expect
"Lahat kayo, kabit?"
(SPOT.ph) The “Mistress” phenomenon in Philippine media has reached a new high (or low, depending on how you look at it) with the arrival of the trailer for Etiquette for Mistresses.
Adapted from Jullie Yap Daza’s bestselling book of the same name, Etiquette for Mistresses revolves around a group of women who come together because of one activity that they all share: engaging in extramarital affairs. The “club” of veteran kabits, composed of Kris Aquino, Claudine Barretto, Iza Calzado, and Cheena Crab, aids a newbie kabit, played by Kim Chiu, in her newly formed affair.
The film, directed by Chito Roño, award-winning director of films such as Feng Shui and Sukob, is a different look at the Philippine “mistress” film sub-genre that explores the stories of the mistresses as people on their own, rather than just a part of another love triangle.
Etiquette for Mistresses marks the silverscreen return of both Aquino and Barretto after long breaks from acting.
