(SPOT.ph) Love triangles are an age-old tradition in pop culture, and for good reason. They add conflict to a storyline and give audiences even more reason to root for the two leads. We're no strangers to love triangles—in fact, we have dozens of movies and telenovelas dedicated to them.
The latest show to take on love triangles is ABS-CBN's On the Wings of Love, which up to this point, mostly focused on the one between Clark (James Reid), Leah (Nadine Lustre), and the always-frustrating Jigs (Albie Casino).
Leah is already jealous of Angela's closeness with Clark
The new love triangle now involves Angela, played by showbiz newcomer, Ysabel Ortega. Despite being only 16, Ysabel plays a 24-year-old who works with Clark in his new job. In an interview, she admitted that she has already earned the ire of some JaDine fans. "Sinasabihan po ako ng iba na, 'Hoy, malandi ka! Umalis ka diyan sa OTWOL, huwag mong landiin si Clark! Leah lang forever! Aabangan ka namin sa labas!' Mga ganoon po." Still, she says that she understands their reactions, and is just glad to be part of the hit show.
The actress is the daughter of Sen. Lito Lapid and singer Michelle Ortega. Ysabel clarified, however, that she didn't use her family to bag the role and had to audition like everyone else.
