Vic Sotto wants to bring back Enteng Kabisote to MMFF 2016

Here we go again.

(SPOT.ph) Comedian Vic Sotto's long-running Enteng Kabisote franchise could make a comeback at this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

The last time we saw the film in cinemas was in MMFF 2012, but it looks as though he's determined to join this year's roundup. "Sabi ko, kapag gagawin ulit natin 'yong Enteng, kailangan iba, bago,” he said in a report by PEP.ph. "Ayaw ko noong mga dating gawi, mga nagawa na namin."

He promised that his latest installment, Enteng Kabisote and the Abangers, will be different, saying, "I can assure you na ito ay bago. Ang luma lang dito ay si Jose [Manalo] at saka si Wally [Bayola]. Kaya nga I'm very excited to work with the new members of Enteng Kabisote."

In any case, the film must now abide by the new MMFF rules, which include a finished product by the late September deadline. It must also meet the standards of an all-new Executive Committee that includes MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos, Sen. Sonny Angara, veteran actress Boots Anson-Roa, and indie screenwriter and producer Moira Lang.
