You Still Have Time to See This Disturbing Horror Movie This Week—If You Dare
It's all sorts of f*cked up.
(SPOT.ph) Halloween is just around the corner and for horror fans, it's a good reason to revisit your favorite horror movies during the long weekend break. But when you think you've seen just about every slasher and spooky ghost story onscreen, along comes The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (who previously shocked the senses with films like The Lobster and Dogtooth), this psychological horror-thriller stars Colin Farrell as Dr. Stephen Murphy, a renowned cardiovascular surgeon living a seemingly idyllic life with his wife (Nicole Kidman). The illusion is shattered when a fatherless teen stumbles on his doorstep and disrupts his life in unsettling ways.
The plot might sound relatively safe, but trust us when we say this movie is all sorts of nightmarish and f*cked up. If you're feeling daring, you can still check it out at the QCinema International Film Festival on October 24 at 6:30 p.m. (UP Town Center) and October 27 at 1 p.m. (Galleria). Tickets are just at P150 each.
