Here's Your Chance to Finally Catch the Critically Acclaimed The Florida Project
For only P200!
(SPOT.ph) Awards season may already be over but that doesn't mean you can't catch award-winning films anymore. After Call Me by Your Name and Lady Bird, the latest critically acclaimed work premiering in Manila is Sean Baker's drama, The Florida Project.
The film revolves around the life of six-year-old Moonee (Brooklynn Prince) and her young mother Halley (Bria Vinaite). They live in a motel in Florida called the Magic Castle, owned by Bobby (Willem Dafoe), who has become protective of Moonee, Halley, and Moonee's playmates. But Halley struggles with trying to make ends meet while letting Moonee live her life as a kid.
Aside from being praised for its directing, the film is also the first movie for a lot of the lead actors. It was even chosen by both the American Film Institute and the National Board of Review as one of the top 10 movies of 2017. You can see for yourself why it was included on the list when it premieres at the University of the Philippines - Diliman's Cine Adarna on April 13 at 7 p.m. Tickets are at P200 and P150 for students.
