This Hilarious Indie Crime-Comedy Is Based on True Events
It stars Dennis Trillo, Matteo Guidicelli, and Jerald Napoles.
(SPOT.ph) There's no better way to start off your year than with a laugh—and the teaser trailer for new indie comedy Mina-Anud is sure to make you LOL. The movie, which is set to be released this year, is presented by Regal Entertainment and Epicmedia, which is the studio behind Oda Sa Wala and Gusto Kita With All My Hypothalamus.
In the video, a sleepy surfing town in Samar is alerted that three tons of cocaine have been found on their shores. The resident surfers—including the characters played by Dennis Trillo and Jerald Napoles—then hatch a plan to make the most out of the events and sell the drugs to make money. According to Epicmedia's website, the story is based on true events.
The cast also includes Matteo Guidicelli and Dionne Monsanto. The movie is the debut film of director Kerwin Go, and it was the winner of the Basecamp Colour Prize at Singapore’s Southeast Asia Film Financing Forum in 2017. Fingers crossed we'll get to see the movie on the big screen soon!
