(SPOT.ph) February might be considered the month of love, but that doesn't mean you have to stop celebrating anytime soon. You can still get your romance-movie fix after Valentine's Day when Cinemalaya entry Kuya Wes opens in cinemas nationwide on March 13. They will be screening the commercial cut of the indie film produced by Spring Films (the studio behind Kita Kita).
In the movie, Ogie Alcasid plays the titular Kuya Wes, who works at a remittance center. The well-meaning clerk falls for the married Erika (Ina Raymundo), one of his usual customers, and believes that he is destined for her. He eventually starts helping her out financially—much to the dismay of his brother.
The film, directed by James Mayo, also stars Moi Bien, Alex Medina, Karen Gaerlan, and Nestor Abrogena, to name a few.
