(SPOT.ph) You probably grew up watching Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai in the original, Taiwanese version of Meteor Garden. But true Asianovela fans also remember the hit TV show It Started With a Kiss, which follows the love story of two high-schoolers. The story (based on the manga, Mischievous Kiss) might have had you swooning as a child, but now you can relive the experience all over again because a Chinese movie adaptation of the show—also called It Started With a Kiss—is hitting the big screen on April 3.
Just like in the series, the movie follows the story of a girl (Jelly Lin) who falls in love with the school genius (Darren Wang), who wants nothing to do with her. In this adaptation, they participate in a competition to see if she'll be able to get grades as high as his in an effort to woo him over. Slowly though, it's him who starts falling for her.
It Started With a Kiss opens in cinemas on April 3.
