(SPOT.ph) After it was announced that Liza Soberano was backing out of her role as Darna in the upcoming remake, multiple names have come up as possible replacements. From Nadine Lustre to Kathryn Bernardo and Angel Locsin to Jessy Mendiola, fans have been clamoring for their idols to get the coveted role. But now, even fans themselves have the chance to don the iconic costume because auditions for Darna have just been opened to the public.
According to ABS-CBN's Facebook page, they'll be having auditions for Darna. All you have to do is make your way to the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance on May 4 and 5 at 10 a.m. They have a couple requirements, too—aside from being able to shout, "Ding, ang bato!" They're looking for a female who is "physically fit, knows contact sports, is fluent in Tagalog, is 20 to 26 years of age, has acting experience, and is at least 5'5" in height."
This is the first time that auditions for Darna will be open to the public. However, the announcement also makes it clear that while public auditions will be pushing through, "auditions coursed through other means are still on-going." The Darna remake is produced by Star Cinema and will be directed by Jerrold Tarog, who replaced Erik Matti.
